Backlinks are links received in a particular web-­site from others. The number and quality of the 
backlinks  could  affect  their  optimisation  on  the  search  engines.  If  you  are  working  in  a SEO 
campaign,  you  should  focus  on  getting  links  to  your  web­-site  from  other  related  sites  with  a 
good positioning in  the search engines for the words you are interested. You should avoid to be 
linked from link-farms as they could penalised your positioning.

Bad Neighbourhood

It  is  known  as  bad  neighbourhood,  to  be  linked  from  a  web­-site  which  contains  links  to  non
permitted sites for the search­-engines polcies.  If your web-­site has links to non permitted sites 
for the search­engines, your web­site could be also penalised.

How can you check if a web­-site is a Bad neighbourhood? you can type in Google: “site: URL”, where URL is the web­-site that we  want to check. If we don’t get results it is because this web-­site is probably a Bad Neighbourhood.

Bandwidth  is  the  amount  of  data  (bits)  per  unit  of  time  (seconds)  used  by  your  site.  This  is 
usually measured in (Kbps). Most of the web hosting providers establish a limit of bandwidth. If 
your website exceeds this limit, the provider could charge you for the excess, or just reject new 
petitions.
